Week 5 - 2023 General Session

Utah is known around the world for its beautiful landscapes and amazing outdoor recreation opportunities. With the greatest snow on Earth in the Wasatch Mountains to the red rock canyons of Southern Utah, we are truly blessed to call this incredible State home. This is why preserving our natural resources so future generations can continue to get out and experience all Utah has to offer is one of the policy priorities for the majority caucus this session. I was a guest on the Utah House of Representatives podcast to discuss what the state is doing to develop and improve outdoor recreation. Take a listen here!

This week my bill HB42 passed out of the Senate and onto the Governor’s desk for signing. HB42, or the Technology Commercialization Amendments bill, creates the Utah Innovation Lab to commercialize new technologies developed from university research projects. Read more about HB42 here or watch my weekly newsletter update below!

As always, I want to hear from you! Reach out to me and let me know what issues are important to you.
